orbitaljournal is a bilingual (Turkish / English) writing and audio platform devoted to the great questions of civilisation.

The first colonies on Mars. The ethics of artificial intelligence. The nature of consciousness. The search for meaning in a multiplanetary civilisation. These are the questions at the centre of our age — and this site is a space to approach them slowly, attentively, one word at a time.

Our era claims to be an information age; in truth, it is an attention age. Social media shows us everything and lets us think about nothing. Here, by contrast, essays are long, sentences are deliberate, and finishing a piece takes fifteen or twenty minutes. When you do, something will remain — a question, a recognition, the sense that someone else has held this thought.

The compass is set by five words: science, art, technology, space, philosophy. Whether the frontier is cosmic, ethical, or existential — all of it is in scope.

orbitaljournal is free. Becoming a member costs nothing — sign in with Google in a few seconds and the entire archive, every audio version, is yours.

The only expectation: do not consume this the way you consume social media. When you begin an essay, try to finish it.
